As an aesthetic practice project for the upgrading and renovation of the Ecological Corridor in Eastern New Town, Ningbo, the artwork Homecoming is independently designed and implemented by our company. Led by Ms. Ye Feng, former Aesthetics Consultant of Eastern New Town, Ningbo and a master of craft and art, the project has undergone artistic upgrading and renovation to address pain points including the aging rust‑prone steel frame of the original corridor and its mismatch with the ecological landscape.
Inspired by Ningbo’s urban ecological feature as a “migratory bird corridor”, the artwork adopts an innovative technique combining metalwork and three‑dimensional painting, with birds as the core design element. It features branch‑shaped sculptural structures and matching corridor frame murals, creating a harmonious scene where humanity, nature and art coexist. Upon completion, it has become a landmark node along the ecological corridor, embodying urban ecological care and aesthetic warmth. Meanwhile, it serves as an outstanding practical and artistic model for the renewal and restoration of urban legacy landscapes.

Tens of thousands of migratory birds arrive here every spring and autumn.

The entire sculpture is a composite of metal structures and painted elements.

Bird motifs run through the whole work,
fostering an atmosphere of harmonious coexistence between humans and nature.

Walking through it, one may immerse in the blend of natural and humanistic charm.
